Time flies... This exact week last year we had already suffered the damages of Hurricane Irma and we feared for the ravages that Hurricane Maria was going to leave in our beloved Puerto Rico. The losses of so many lives, the destruction that these natural disasters left in the Caribbean and Puerto Rico, and the horrors that so many families lived, is a picture that will never be erased from my memory. In the one year anniversary of Irma, Maria, and the earthquake in Mexico, we take a moment of silence to offer our prayers for the lives of those who are no longer here with us, we celebrate the lives of the survivors and all the tireless warriors who were there for their neighbors, brothers, and sisters. Last September we were the ones affected, and then last week, Hurricane Florence caused so much devastation in the Carolinas, USA. There is still so much to do, but if there is one thing of which I am 100% sure, it is that Boricuas do not give up, that we are resilient in times of despair, and that we will not stop until we get it done. God is with us all and I am with you. #TodosNosUnimos #SomosUnaVoz - - - Como pasa el tiempo una semana como esta ya habíamos sufrido los estragos del Huracán Irma y temíamos por los daños que el Huracán Maria iba a dejar en nuestro querido Puerto Rico. Las pérdidas de tantas vidas y la destrucción que estos desastres naturales dejaron en el Caribe, Puerto Rico y el horror que tantas familias vivieron es una estampa que nunca se borrará de mi memoria. A un año de Irma, Maria y del terremoto en México hacemos un alto para elevar nuestras oraciones por las vidas de los que ya no están y celebramos la vida de los sobrevivientes y de todos esos guerreros incansables que demostraron lo que significa de verdad ayudar a tu prójimo como a ti mismo. El pasado septiembre nosotros fuimos los afectados, y esta última semana el Huracán Florence causó tanto daño en las Carolinas E.U. Queda mucho por hacer, pero si de algo no me queda duda es que los Boricuas no nos rendimos y le hacemos frente a lo que venga. No vamos a parar hasta que lo logremos.
