ChocQuibTown
ChocQuibTown is a Colombian hip-hop group that fuses rap with the Afro-Colombian traditions of the Pacific coast. They became one of the country's most acclaimed and original acts.
Orígenes
Though formed in Cali, the members are from the Chocó department; the group consists of Carlos “Tostao” Valencia, Gloria “Goyo” Martínez, and Miguel “Slow” Martínez.
El sonido
Their music draws on hip-hop and electronica fused with salsa, Latin jazz, and Afro-Latin rhythms, creating a distinctive coastal sound.
