Chalino Sánchez was a Mexican singer and composer posthumously crowned "The King of Corrido," and is often considered the most influential narcocorrido singer of the late 20th century.
Active in the late 1980s and early 1990s, he built a devoted following before his career was cut short in 1992.
His corridos told stories of murder and organized crime in northern Mexico — from the Mexican Revolution to drug trafficking and Mexican standoffs — though he also composed romantic, radio-friendly songs.
His raw style and storytelling made him a foundational and enduring influence on the corrido and narcocorrido traditions.
Alma Enamorada
"Alma Enamorada" is among his signature songs, showing the romantic side that balanced his hard-edged corridos.
