Estopa is a Spanish rock-rumba duo of brothers José and David Muñoz, known for a streetwise sound that resists easy labels. They broke through at the turn of the millennium and became one of Spain's most popular bands.
The brothers formed Estopa in 1999 in Cornellà de Llobregat, near Barcelona, and quickly scored Spanish number-one hits with songs like “El Run Run” and “Cuando Amanece.”
Their style mixes rock, rumba, and flamenco into something they've described as hard to categorize, built on guitar, plain-spoken lyrics, and a working-class swagger.
Estopa became one of the defining Spanish bands of their era, topping the charts and proving that rumba-rooted rock could reach a mass audience.
La Raja de Tu Falda
“La Raja de Tu Falda” captures the duo's blend of rumba rhythm and rock attitude that made them a household name across Spain.
