Legião Urbana was a Brazilian rock band formed in 1982 in Brasília, one of the defining acts of Brazilian rock.
The band primarily consisted of Renato Russo, Dado Villa-Lobos on guitar, Renato Rocha on bass and Marcelo Bonfá. After Rocha left in 1989, they continued as a trio with Russo taking on bass duties until the band's end.
Their music is Brazilian rock (rock brasileiro), built around Renato Russo's lyrics and the band's anthemic sound.
Legião Urbana became one of the most influential and beloved bands in Brazilian rock; following Rocha's death in 2015, Villa-Lobos and Bonfá are the last surviving members of the principal lineup.
Tempo Perdido
"Tempo Perdido" is among their signature songs, an enduring anthem central to the band's legacy.
